Scarlett Johansson

 

Scarlett was born on November 22, 1984, in New York City.

Scarlett Ingrid Johansson was born to Melanie Sloan (of Polish descent) and Karsten Johansson (of Danish descent).

She showed a passion for acting at a young age and even starred in many plays.

 

She applied to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for the fall 2003 semester, but was not accepted. It allowed her to focus on her profession, which blossomed soon after.

Scarlett began her acting career in 1994, starring in 'North' (1994).

Scarlett has a younger twin brother, Hunter Johansson and older sister, Vanessa Johansson who is also an actress.

 

'I'm curvy - I'm never going to be 5' 11' and 120 pounds. But I feel lucky to have what I've got.'

 

In 2006, FHM readers named Scarlett the 'Sexiest Woman Alive' and in 2011, she was voted as the 'World's Most Natural Beauty' in a U.K. poll.

 

Scarlett married fiancé Ryan Reynolds in a quiet ceremony in Canada on September 27, 2008. They divorced in 2010 citing 'irreconcilable differences'.
